Christmas in the Woods

For the 28th year, Columbiana is home to the Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods craft festival. You can drive there from Boardman in about 15 minutes, so this lovely festival can be easy to work into your weekend plans. According to the Sunshine Artist, a popular craft show magazine, you'll be glad that you did, as they once rated it number one on their list of the best 100 craft shows. Even Hallmark ranks Columbiana as one of the 25 best Christmas towns in the country, thanks in no small part to the Christmas in The Woods event.

Upon your arrival, you'll be treated to old-fashioned booths occupied by high-quality crafters and artisans selling wears, including stonework, holiday ornaments, leather wears, dolls, wreaths, bouquets, holiday clothes and candles. You can browse homemade holiday gift options and crafts, enjoy the ambiance of traditional Christmas decor, or go far a walk along lovely paths that lead from one end of the festival to the craft other. In addition to the crafts, you can fill your stomach with an incredible selection of traditional holiday food from vendors. These include fresh donuts, seasonal cobbler, crunchy French fries, and steaming bean soup.
