The 2023 Outlander achieves 31 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg on city roads in its standard front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. If you opt for the SEL trim, you get genuine leather seats, power adjustments in the front row, heated second-row seats, and memory settings for the driver's seat. There is also a Premium upgrade package available, which includes a head-up display and a 10-speaker sound system. The SEL Black Edition is the top trim, which features a heated steering wheel and a sunroof.

While the Outlander beats most of its competitors in the fuel-efficiency class, there are some steps you can take to make its gas mileage even better.
